How Important is Your Health?

Before you answer "so-so", remember why you stayed indoors the past two years. You were deathly scared to contract a virus!

You wouldn't be able to function optimally at work if you were sick. And under the Labor Code of the Philippines, you could be laid off if you ran the risk of infecting others.

How did it feel when you had to report to your boss after only three hours of sleep? The weight of papers stacked on your desk was nothing compared to the migraine you endured for the whole shift. It was throbbing. And no amount of analgesics could keep it at bay. You might have even encountered a couple of mishaps - some funny, and some grievous.

Good health is vital.

It should be at the top of your list!

When visualizing success, good health is one of the most important assets you could have for your business. You are guaranteed to produce active income from the machinery that you are. After all, there is adequate pay for labor produced or service rendered. If you go up and beyond the service that is expected of you, then you can reap more for the value of your services.

Second, good health saves you money in the long run. It is only a luxury if you treat it as such, investing in the end game when you should be investing now

Think of Heart Evangelista, Dawn Zulueta, or Gretchen Barretto. Apart from having the resources to invest in their health, they all invested early in themselves. As you can see, they are aging gracefully, if they are even aging at all.

Third, and most importantly, you have more energy for the things that really matter - such as quality time with the family. You are all-ears for your kids' shrieks and stories as you pick them up from school. You can keep up with the demands of housework, and from time to time, rekindle the fun ;) you had with your spouse.

The budget that you set aside each day for food, maintenance, and routine lab work may feel like a pinch in your pocket. But it will surely save you more than having to undergo consultations, treatments, and surgery for lifestyle-related diseases that manifest later on in life.

It all depends on how you view health. Do you treat it as an investment or a luxury?
