On Rejection

I was pitching an idea to some of my friends. They politely rejected. And while I was unfazed by them having said no, they felt bad for me, going so far as offering to buy products if I fail to sell any.

It was my turn to reject the gesture. But I had to ask myself,

how have they been able to navigate life ridden by rejection?

I didn't feel bad when they said no. But their reaction told me more about them than it did about me. I realized that as empathetic they seemed to be, they didn't understand the price success demands.

The number of messages left on seenzone or worse, ignored, are nothing to what I experienced in law school. I basically paid my professors to humiliate me in class.  Both of which are a small price to pay for the expanse of life I envision myself living in, in the next five years.

And if I was able to survive the bludgeonings of law school, I can survive being shunned and being looked down upon by people including my friends. So long as you do what you have to do, directed towards the path you should take every day, then you are certain to arrive somewhere.

Somewhere might be prosperity, quality relationships, and in my case, the title Attorney.

Keep at it!
